We have great news to announce. After diligent efforts, we have secured a commercial loan from Coastal State Bank to pay off the existing private loan on Atlanta Buddhist monastery, in Woodstock, Georgia and transfer the mortgage into the monastery’s name. We are so grateful that the loan committee of this bank has enthusiastically agreed to underwrite this transfer. May they receive many Merits!
The approved loan is $192,500 with a 35-month maturity. To proceed, the bank requires a payment reserve of at least $52,500 in an account at their bank (where the monthly mortgage payment will be drawn from).
In response, we, together with our Venerable Bhantes at the monastery, have decide to raise a minimum of $60,000. This will fulfill the bank’s reserve requirement while covering associated fees and administrative costs.
All contributions will flow into the dedicated account. Detailed reports on fund usage will be shared openly with all donors, fostering trust and shared purpose.
Dhammapada Verse 18, Buddha teaches us that;
“The maker of merits (Good Karma) is delighted in this life and the next. He is delighted in both worlds. He is delighted in knowing, “I have made merit.” He is delighted even more once he is reborn in a happy destination.”

This vision echoes the timeless tale of Anathapindika, the devoted merchant whose boundless giving (Dana) transformed Jetavana Grove into the Supreme Buddha’s sanctuary for Dhamma which allowed the way for incalculable awakenings.
Today, that same transformative power resides in each one of us, empowering us to spread the pure words of the Supreme Buddha. Your gift will inscribe your legacy among the awakened, resonating for generations to come.
